Release Notes for Rendezyou release 0.5.2

February 23, 2010

This release fixes a bug that caused the Rendezyou client app to hang after sending off an invitation.

Important: You must update your Rendezyou client app in order to continue using Rendezyou. This is to make sure that the client and the web app play together nicely.

Changes introduced in 0.5.1

[Feature]
You can now choose the e-mail address to use with Rendezyou in the Preferences.
[Feature]
Significantly improves usability for users who neither want to register nor subscribe to their personal Rendezyou Calendar. (No idea why some people want to miss out on what makes Rendezyou so exceptionally useful…)
[Enhancement]
The participants token field got a thorough polishing. Completions are now displayed more uniformly; they are sorted by last name; invalid tokens are not rejected straight away, giving you the possibility to, say, paste a name without an e-mail address into the field and only then adding the e-mail address.
[Enhancement]
Captcha for signup to prevent spam registrations.
[Enhancement]
Lots of little details that nobody notices but make Rendezyou nicer to use.
[Change]
We had to suspend integration with Google Calendar. GCal doesn't support authentication-protected calendars. Rest assured, we're working on a work-around.
[Bug]
Participants token field: Some e-mail addresses for matching people were overlooked. This is now fixed.
